1. Mindfulness Meditation for Health and Well-being  

Presented by: Kevin Henry, Licensed Social Worker

Join Kevin to learn about the physical and emotional benefits of meditation and how you can incorporate the practice into your daily life. Attendees will participate in a meditation exercise.

2. Keeping Your Blood Pressure in Check

Presented by: David Michael Elnicki, M.D.

Have questions about what constitutes a normal blood pressure?  In this session, Dr. Elnicki will address the importance of blood pressure to your health and provide participants with realistic tips for preventing and managing high blood pressure

3. The Juggling Act - Balancing Work and Personal Life

Presented by: Ceridian LifeWorks

Most working people struggle with having too many demands and responsibilities in their professional and personal/family lives.  Knowing how to effectively manage tasks and activities becomes more challenging as people find themselves on overload and “stretched to the max.” Attend this session to pick up tips for juggling

6. How to Start an Exercise Program: Ready, Set. . . Stop!

Presented by: Donna Morosky, Athletics, Director of Fitness and Health

Many of us are interested in starting an exercise program but choosing how to get started and what to incorporate into the program can be a challenge. Donna will discuss easy ways to incorporate an exercise program into your busy life that makes sense for you.

7. Maintaining Calm in and Anxious Culture

Presented by: Paula Moreci, Counseling Center, Psychotherapist and Licensed Social Worker

Stress is the "wear and tear" our bodies experience as we adjust to our continually changing environment; it has physical and emotional effects on us and can create positive or negative feelings. Participants in this session will learn how to manage pressure and anxiety in a world where “Stressed out” seems to be the norm.

8. Diabetes

Presented by: Jessica Kubilius, R.Ph., PharmaCare

This presentation will provide an overview of diabetes, with emphasis on the importance of self-management, which plays an important role in diabetes care and the prevention of complications.  Through daily monitoring, patients can better manage diabetes by identifying trends and patterns and adjusting their daily routine accordingly.

Presented by: Dianne Zalenski, M.D.

Have questions about a new trend in women’s health?  Bring them to this session where Dr. Zalenski will address the latest in women’s health from sexual dysfunction to hormone replacement therapy.

10. Heart Healthy Eating - Eating to Live, or Living to Eat?

Presented by: Paula Martin, Student Health Services, Registered Dietician

Learn what, and how you should be eating to maximize your health and energy. Decipher confusing information, dispel myths, and take home practical tips on how to improve your eating habits. Come hungry for information and full of questions!

11. The Art of Acupuncture

Presented by: EngKeat Teh, LAc, Mac

Acupuncture is a holistic therapy backed by more than two thousand years of practice and research. It is practiced worldwide both as a primary and adjunctive treatment for a wide range of conditions. Participants will learn how acupuncture works, how to seek out a practitioner, and the most commonly and effectively treated ailments.

12. The A to Zzzz's of Sleep

Presented by: Peter Franzen Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Franzen will provide an overview of sleep and sleep disorders. Evidence for the importance of sleep and the consequences of insufficient sleep across physical, cognitive, and emotional domains will be reviewed.

13. Dual Career Relationships

With both partners working, it can be a challenge to manage home life, grow a career, and still find time to give the couple relationship the attention it needs and deserves.  This session gives participants an opportunity to share concerns, seek suggestions, and learn from an expert on dual career relationships.
