How to use Careers@CarnegieMellon to view and apply for staff positions:

  1. Connect to the Careers@CarnegieMellon site. Log On if you have a saved profile.

  2. Use the "All other Visitors create your Profile Online" link to create your personal profile. You can create your profile manually using a resume builder, or cut and paste your resume into the system.

  3. Search for jobs using the "Search Jobs" tab. You can specify detailed search criteria.
    • If you click in the box beside "Save as Agent" and enter an Agent name, your search criteria will be saved as a Job Agent. You will be emailed whenever a new position that matches those search criteria becomes available.
  4. Apply for jobs by clicking on the Apply button at the bottom of a job description or add jobs to the Job Cart to apply for multiple positions at once. Be sure to review your profile and answer any job-specific questions to actually submit your application.

  5. An email confirmation that your credentials have been received will be sent to you via email. You can also see a summary of the jobs to which you've applied and their status by clicking on "My Submittals."
