Benefits

Carnegie Mellon offers a comprehensive benefits package to its employees, including insurance benefits and work-life benefits. Benefits-eligible employees can also cover eligible dependents and spouses/domestic partners.

Benefits enrollment occurs in the fall and benefits selections continue for a year, except for dental and vision, which are chosen every other year. Employees can make changes to their benefits mid-year if they experience a life or family status change.

Local 95, International Employees, Retired Employees

Local 95 IUOE-represented employees are eligible for coverage under the Union Local 95 plan. Employees of Carnegie Mellon Qatar Campus are also eligible for coverage under our International Benefits Plan. Retired employees of Carnegie Mellon are eligible for medical coverage under our Retiree Medical Plan.
