How to Use the Recruiting Action Plan

Guidelines for Hiring Supervisors:

A commitment has been made by each of the university's deans and division heads to develop and consider diverse applicant pools for senior level professional staff positions (specifically jobs at grade 12 and above) within their areas. You are encouraged to use this tool for positions at grade 12 and above or for any professional level position at the university (jobs at grade 8 and above) in the following ways:

  • At the beginning of the recruitment process, submit your plan to diversify the applicant pool to your dean or division head.
  • At the conclusion of the recruitment process, share the diversity results you achieved with your dean or division head.
  • Use as a reference tool for future recruitment of similar positions.

Your Human Resources Representative can assist you in developing a plan.
