Benefits and Fitness Fair


The 2008 Benefits & Fitness Fair will be held on
Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 11 am - 4 pm in UC - Rangos.

The Benefits & Fitness Fair is a fun and informative event held annually in conjunction with Open Enrollment. At the fair, employees have an opportunity to meet with benefits and fitness vendors to discuss their plans, receive free health screenings or demonstrations, and get free handouts and giveaways. In addition, Human Resources staff are present to answer questions and assist employees in enrolling in benefits. We also award door prizes and provide the opportunity to get a flu shot.

Free Flu Shots

The Human Resources Benefits Office works with Student Health Services to provide free flu shot vaccinations during the Fair. In 2007, we had shots available during the Fair. (If demand exceeds supply at the Fair or the serum is not yet available, faculty and staff who are interested in getting the vaccine can register for the shot while visiting the Fair. Flu shots will then be distributed at Student Health Services when the serum is received.)

To receive a free flu shot, you must present your current, valid faculty or staff
ID+ card and a completed Flu Shot Information and Authorization Form.

Spouses can also receive a flu shot through the university. However, they must seek their vaccination in the week or so after the Fair when the Student Health Office holds its flu clinic. (NO shots will be available to spouses on the day of the Fair).  Spouse cost for the flu shot is $16. Children can not receive flu shots by this program at the Fair or in a Student Health Services flu clinic.
