Members of the AFL-CIO Local 95 - International Union of Operating Engineers are covered under their own contract, which specifies their benefits coverage options. Local 95 employees may also cover their eligible dependents under medical, dental and vision coverage.

Life Insurance

MetLife

Financial protection to your survivors in the case of death:

  • Basic Life Insurance = $12,000 or 1.5 times your annual salary, whichever is greater

  • Supplemental Life Insurance = limit based on age and salary, rates based on age.

You are automatically enrolled in Basic Life Insurance.

Purchase Supplemental Life insurance during Open Enrollment or when you experience a Life Status Change.

Sick and Accident Program

MetLife for STD.

Jefferson Pilot Financial for LTD.

Salary replacement in the event of a non-work-related illness or injury.

You are automatically enrolled in the Sick and Accident Program.

Open Enrollment in June

The selections you make during the Open Enrollment period each June go into effect on July 1 and will continue through June 30. Your benefit elections may not be changed during the contract year, unless you experience a qualified family or life status event. If you experience a status change, you may make changes to your level of coverage (not your provider) using the Benefits Enrollment/Change Form for Local 95 Employees (.pdf).
