Healthy Living - Fitness & Nutrition
It really is true that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Eating right, maintaining a healthy weight and getting regular physical activity are some of the best ways to prevent serious, lifelong conditions.
Nutrition and Weight Control
There are several resources available on campus to help you develop healthy eating habits, good nutrition and a healthy weight. They include:
- Carnegie Mellon Weight Watchers at Work
- Nutritional Consultations through Student Health Services for faculty and staff
Exercise and Fitness Programs
Regular exercise is an important part of staying healthy, maintaining a healthy weight, and controlling many chronic conditions. Carnegie Mellon employees and their family have full use of the Athletic Department facilities on campus when they present an ID card. In addition, the Carnegie Mellon Athletics Department offers many Fitness Programs available at moderate costs.
