Which benefits you are eligible to receive depends on several factors, including:
- whether you are full-time or part-time
- whether you are active or on-leave
- length of your appointment
- your position type (faculty, special faculty, staff,

Full-time, benefits-eligible: at least 37.5 hours per week [40 hours for Campus Police Association] or 100% of a full-time schedule in an active appointment of at least 4 months. |
Full-Time Benefits

Part-time, benefits-eligible: at least 17.5 hours per week or 46.7% of a full-time schedule in an active appointment of at least 4 months. |
Part-Time Benefits |
|
Non-benefits-eligible: any appointment of less than four months, or less than 17.5 hours per week or 46.7% of a full-time schedule. |

If you change from full-time to part-time, contact the Benefits Office to change your benefit elections.

Position Type
In order to be eligible for benefits, you must fall under one of the following groups. Read the Benefits Overview (see chart above) and Plan Documents for your group to learn more about benefits available to those in your position type.
- Full-time Faculty, Special Faculty, Staff or Campus Police Association
employees
- Part-time employees
- Union Local 95 IUOE-represented employees - Eligible for coverage under the Union Local 95 plan
- International employees - Eligible for coverage under international
benefits plan
- Dependents - Eligible for certain benefits
