Human Resources will not be reserving tables for specific groups. Individuals may choose to sit wherever they would like upon their arrival, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Presenter: Linda Dickerson

Linda Dickerson is a well-known author and columnist, recognized locally for her incisive commentary about issues of consequence to the region.  In addition to her role as a journalist, Ms. Dickerson serves as a principal in 501(c)(3)2, a management consulting group in Pittsburgh that works with nonprofit executives and their boards.  Her primary client is the National Aviary, where she serves as Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to opening 501(c)(3)2, Dickerson owned and published Executive Report, western Pennsylvania’s regional business magazine.  At the close of 1997, she donated the magazine to the community through the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance.

Widely acclaimed as an expert on community and government affairs, Ms. Dickerson is the recipient of numerous awards. For her extensive community service work, the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania recently recognized Ms. Dickerson as one of the Pittsburgh region’s History Makers.  She is an active  member of over two dozen community agency and non-profit boards, including her alma mater Carnegie Mellon University - where she serves on the Executive Committee, is chair of the Nominating Committee, and has been honored as one of their distinguished alums.

Ms. Dickerson combines her passion for the arts, culture and economic development. She combines her extensive knowledge of this community and a burning passion to improve this region’s quality of life in her work.
